The Caplugs® Evergreen MST™ is the Black HDPE flat-top cryogenic vial cap — the 12th and final color completing the MST™ flat-top (300-3910) range. Black HDPE provides complete light blockage for photosensitive cryogenic specimens, blocking all visible and UV light transmission to the vial contents. This is distinct from Amber (300-3910-FN20), which provides partial attenuation while remaining translucent — use Amber when some visual inspection of vial contents is still required; use Black when maximum light exclusion is the priority.
With this listing, the MST™ flat-top cap range is complete at 12 colors. The MST™ sub-brand also includes two additional cap profiles: Recessed Top (300-3914 series, 3 colors) and Tethered Recessed (300-3918 series, 5 colors) — each with a distinct cap geometry for specific workflow applications.
