Collection: Parafilm & Sealing Film

Parafilm® M and other self-sealing laboratory films stretch around the rim of a flask, beaker, tube or Petri dish and cling to it, forming a moisture-resistant seal against evaporation and contamination. Film is sold by roll width and length; a dispenser holds the roll and cuts clean lengths at the bench.

Parafilm M is a blend of waxes and polyolefins. It resists most acids, alkalis and polar solvents, but chlorinated, aromatic and non-polar solvents soften it. Sterile Parafilm is made for work where the film touches a sterile field. PetriSEAL™ is cut to width for Petri dishes, and ContainerSeal™ for bottle and container lids.
