Economy Digital — BO Series

Room temp +5–10°C to 180°C. The BO-302A is purpose-matched to Yamato RE/REV rotary evaporators; the BO-601 steps up to 7 L for larger flasks.

1–2.2 L to 240–250°C, ±0.3°C. Choose glass (BOG) for visibility or stainless (BOS) for stability; both seat a magnetic-stirrer hot plate in the base.

Oil Bath FAQs

Oil bath or water bath — which do I need?

Water baths top out near 95–100°C. If your application needs more heat than that — reflux, high-boiling solvent removal, or constant-temperature work above 100°C — an oil bath is the right tool. Below 100°C, a water bath is simpler to run and clean.

What oil should I use?

Standard mineral or silicone heat-transfer oil rated for your target temperature works in all models; avoid oils rated below the bath's maximum setting. Check the manual for the specific viscosity Yamato recommends per model.

Are these genuine Yamato units with a warranty?

Do the BOG/BOS baths include the stirrer?

The bath itself does not include the magnetic-stirrer hot plate — it's designed to seat one (MFD800/MFH800) in the base. Add a stirrer from Laboratory Stirrers if you need combined heat-and-stir.
