Collection: AirClean Systems
AirClean Systems, of Creedmoor, North Carolina, has built ductless enclosures and laminar flow workstations since 1992. Every AC600 Series unit is a seamless polypropylene body with a clear polycarbonate shell, an electrostatic pre-filter ahead of a HEPA filter, and the UVTect® microprocessor controller that monitors the filter bed in real time and locks out the wrong replacement filter. Nothing is ducted: each workstation plugs into a standard 110 V or 220 V outlet and ships fully assembled, ISO 5 tested, to UL 61010-1 and CSA C22.2 No. 61010-1.

Horizontal laminar flow clean benches (AC4000HLF 48 in, AC5000HLF 60 in, AC6000HLF 72 in, AC8000HLF 96 in — dual-wall polypropylene, horizontal HEPA airflow, standard, solid-wall and UV versions) and AC600 ductless chemical fume hoods, replacement HEPA and pre-filters are part of the AirClean line; email support@labsupplies.com with the model number for those until they are listed here.
Choosing between them
| If your work is |
Choose |
| Sterile media, plates, non-hazardous cultures, non-hazardous compounding |
AC600 vertical laminar flow |
| PCR or any amplification where carry-over between runs is the risk |
AC600 PCR workstation (adds UV) |
| Small items placed in a line upstream of each other; IV prep with vials and syringes |
Horizontal clean bench (AC4000HLF–AC8000HLF) |
| Anything hazardous to the operator — pathogens, human cell lines, cytotoxic drugs |
A Class II biological safety cabinet, not a laminar flow hood |
| Volatile or toxic chemicals |
A ductless or ducted fume hood |
Sizing
24 in suits one operator with small items; 32 in is the general-purpose bench; 48 in gives one operator a full range of motion or room for a small instrument. Tall versions add 9–11 in of internal height for racks, tall vessels and small instruments. Internal dimensions for every model are on each product page.

Questions
Does an AC600 workstation need ductwork or installation?
No. It recirculates HEPA-filtered air to the room, plugs into a standard 110 V or 220 V outlet and arrives fully assembled.
What does the UVTect controller do?
It monitors the installed filter bed in real time, warns of insufficient airflow, and locks out incorrect replacement filters so the workstation cannot run with the wrong filter fitted.
Is a laminar flow workstation safe for pathogens or human cell lines?
No. Laminar flow directs filtered air toward the operator; it protects the work, not the person. Hazardous biological work needs a Class II biological safety cabinet.
Vertical or horizontal?
Vertical flow comes down from the top of the chamber and suits larger items and powders; horizontal flow comes from the back wall toward the operator and suits small items arranged upstream of each other. The AC600 units listed here are vertical flow; the AC4000HLF–AC8000HLF benches are horizontal.
