Tiger Aluminum 4.5 inch type 27 grinding wheels are specifically designed for high performance grinding and extended wheel life on aluminum. These wheels blend abrasive grains with Weiler’s non-loading formula, resulting in a fast and consistent cut rate on aluminum. The flat profile with depressed center allows for a wide range of grinding angles (0-45°) with a right angle grinder. Ideal for heavy stock removal, scale removal, weld removal, weld blending, edge beveling and torch-cut softening. Small 5/8" - 11 nutted metal hub reduces gouging of the workpiece and allows for 30% more usable surface area of the wheel in addition to providing quick spin-on, spin-off changeover of a standard hub.

A Type 27 disc is flat, which suits flat surfaces, blending and light stock removal. Aluminium backing is lighter and runs cooler than phenolic, and it can be recycled once the flaps are spent.
