A resin fiber or surface conditioning disc has no rigidity of its own — the back-up pad is what supports it, and the disc cannot be run without one. Threaded 5/8"-11 UNC — check the thread on the grinder before ordering, it is the part that gets bought wrong. Made in the USA.
