The Pelican 1525 Air Case gives 20.5 × 11.31 × 6.75 in of interior at 5.99 lb empty — molded in HPX² polymer, which is where the weight saving comes from when a loaded case has to be lifted or flown. With Pick n’ Pluck foam plucked to shape that leaves room for an instrument up to 17.5 × 8.3 × 4.8 in. It is watertight, crushproof and dustproof to IP67, sealed on a gasketed O-ring, and carries an automatic pressure equalisation valve so it still opens after a flight or a cold room.
