- They are made of polypropylene (PP), providing the same coefficient of expansion as the tubes and this, along with a polypropylene inner lip, ensures a leakproof seal, even at changing temperatures.
- The cap has a long skirt and a super-fast thread design that allows it to be removed or sealed with a single turn.
- These tube closures have O rings (also referred to as washers).
- Tubes can be autoclaved (121° C) in upright position with the caps loosened.
