The Crescent 16" Straight Jaw Dipped Handle Tongue and Groove Pliers, part RT216CVN-06. Supplier specification: T&G PLIER STRAIGHT JAW BLK PHOSPHATE 16".
Tongue-and-groove pliers grip round and irregular work by moving the jaw through set positions, so the handles stay at a comfortable angle across the whole capacity range rather than spreading wide. Smooth jaws grip plated, polished and finished surfaces without marking them — toothed jaws hold harder but leave witness marks, which matters on fittings that stay visible.
