The Crescent 1/2" x 12' Mezurall® Chrome Clad® A8 Tape Measure, part C9212. Supplier specification: 12FT TAPE.
The specification professionals compare is standout — how far the blade extends unsupported before it folds. A wider blade stands out further, which is why a 1-3/16" blade reaches across an opening a 1" blade cannot. Length matters less than most buyers expect; standout and a legible blade matter more. Open-reel fibreglass tapes are non-conductive and do not rust, which is why they are used for long runs and around electrical work.
