The Caplugs® Evergreen Slide-Fix™ is a purple HDPE screw cap for Slide-Fix™ PAP smear fixative jars. Purple Slide-Fix™ caps provide an additional color dimension for cytology batch routing systems where the more common colors (Orange, Fuchsia, Red, Green) are already assigned — purple is used to designate specialized cytology sub-types, overflow accession batches, or specific anatomic site designations within multi-category cytology batch routing schemes. With this addition, the Slide-Fix™ cap range now spans nine colors, providing the full color vocabulary needed for complex cytology batch routing protocols in high-volume anatomic pathology and cytology laboratories.

HDPE provides the chemical resistance required for prolonged contact with alcohol-based and Carbowax/PEG cytology fixatives, autoclave compatibility at 121°C for pre-sterilized supply, and consistent screw-thread engagement for leak-free fixative jar closure.
