The Vornado is a miniature touch-activated vortex mixer that runs at a fixed 2,800 rpm with a 4 mm orbit, enough to vortex nearly full 50 mL tubes. Light pressure on the cup head starts the motor, and releasing it stops the motor at once. The housing measures 3.7 × 3.9 × 2.6 in and weighs 1 lb, and the head is shaped to keep liquid out of the motor housing. A 100–240V, 50W supply covers both plug versions, and the cup head comes in five colors.
