The Sprint 8 Plus is a benchtop clinical centrifuge with an 8-place fixed-angle rotor that takes 15 mL conical or round-bottom tubes as well as 5/7 mL tubes. Speed is set from 200 to 6,800 rpm or entered directly as RCF up to 4,445 × g, in 10-unit steps, which allows serum or plasma separation in 2–3 minutes. Acceleration and deceleration rates are adjustable, and up to 99 run programs can be stored. The unit weighs 17.6 lb.
