The Sprint 8 is a fixed-angle clinical centrifuge with an eight-place rotor for 10 mL blood tubes (16 × 100 mm) and 15 mL conical tubes (17 × 120 mm). Smaller 12 × 75 mm and 12 × 100 mm blood tubes fit with optional C3100-ADP adapters. The rotor runs at a fixed 3,400 rpm (1,400 × g), a setting suited to most coagulation, platelet-poor plasma and urinalysis protocols. Run time is chosen with up/down buttons on the LED display, up to 99 minutes, and the lid stays locked until the rotor has fully stopped.
