The MC-24R is Benchmark's refrigerated high-speed microcentrifuge, holding samples anywhere from −20°C to +40°C while spinning at 200–13,500 rpm (up to 16,800 × g). It comes with the COMBI-Rotor and lid, which runs 24 × 1.5/2.0 mL microtubes and two 0.2 mL PCR strips at once, so no separate strip rotor is needed. The touch panel sets speed in 10 rpm or 10 rcf steps, converts rpm and rcf in real time, stores up to 99 programs and adjusts acceleration and deceleration. A status light shows whether the unit is running, in standby or finished, and the timer runs from 20 seconds to 99 hours.
