A1801-LM is a low melting point agarose for preparative gels and in-gel processing, supplied in a 100 g bottle. It gels at 26–30°C, well below DNA/RNA denaturation temperatures, so nucleic acids can be recovered from the gel. Gel strength exceeds 200 g/cm² at 1% and resolution spans 20 bp to 25 kbp. It also serves tissue culture cell cloning and viral plaque assays.
