The SmartDrop L NS1000 is an LED-based microvolume spectrophotometer for routine DNA, RNA and protein concentration and purity checks. Samples of 1.0 to 2.0 µL are pipetted onto the pedestal and read through a fixed 0.5 mm path at 260 and 280 nm, with the 260/280 ratio calculated automatically in under 6 seconds. It detects dsDNA from 10 ng/µL up to 2,500 ng/µL and BSA down to 0.1 mg/mL. Operation is by touch screen with no PC, and data exports over USB.
