The Smart-Q 100 F1001 is a single-sample fluorometer for quantifying DNA, RNA and protein with dye-based assays, which bind selectively to their target and give higher specificity than UV absorbance. Blue (460 ± 20 nm) and red (625 ± 20 nm) LED excitation channels feed photodiode detectors reading green 525–570 nm and red 670–725 nm emission. It measures 0.5 mL assay tubes over 5 orders of magnitude, down to 0.1 pg/µL dsDNA, and returns results in under 6 seconds on a 7.0-inch touch screen.
