Collection: Centrifuge Rotors & Adapters
Rotors, buckets, carriers and tube adapters for Hermle, Benchmark Scientific and LW Scientific centrifuges: fixed-angle and swing-out rotors, microplate and PCR-strip rotors, hematocrit rotors, sealed buckets, and the inserts that run smaller tubes in larger positions.
The rotor, not the centrifuge, decides which tubes fit and how fast they can spin. Hermle and Benchmark listings name the centrifuge models each part fits. To see every rotor and adapter for one Hermle model at once, search the model number on the Benchmark Scientific catalog page, for example Z327, Z366 or Z446.
Common questions
How do I find the rotors that fit my centrifuge?
Each Hermle and Benchmark centrifuge page lists the rotors, buckets and adapters published for that model, with each rotor's maximum speed in that centrifuge. Searching a model number such as Z327 on the Benchmark Scientific catalog page returns every part listed for it.
Does a rotor's maximum speed change from one centrifuge to another?
Yes. Hermle publishes a separate limit for each rotor in each centrifuge: the Z326-0685 6 × 85 mL fixed-angle rotor is rated 9,000 rpm (10,413 × g) in the Z327 and Z327-K, but 13,000 rpm (21,726 × g) in the Z36-HK.
Can I run smaller tubes in a larger rotor position?
Yes, with an insert sized for the tube. The Z327-200-BUK bucket takes inserts from the Z327-200-A15 (3 × 15 mL conical) to the Z327-200-A200 (200 mL conical), and the Z326-85-A50R takes a 50 mL round tube in an 85 mL rotor position.
