Technical Narrative

The TrippNT 50953 Quadruple Side Loading Glove Box Holder with Magnet Mount provides 4-bay clear ⅜″ (3/16″) acrylic side-loading glove box staging with rare-earth magnet backing for no-drill, tool-free attachment to any ferrous steel surface. It delivers the same ergonomic side-load design and front-slot glove dispensing as the keyhole-mount 50850, with the addition of instant positioning on BSC side baffles, instrument cart uprights, stainless steel panels, and any ferrous steel wall without drilling. Each of the four bays loads horizontally from the open left side, eliminating the overhead-lift ergonomic challenge of top-load holders at shoulder height or above. A front dispensing slot per bay allows single-glove pull without disturbing the holder.

At 10⅛″ x 21¾″ x 4⅝″ and 4.30 lb, the magnet version is slightly deeper than the keyhole version due to the magnet assembly. Ships fully assembled. Backed by TrippNT’s 100% Lifetime Guarantee. MRI UNSAFE: the rare-earth magnet backing presents a projectile hazard in MRI Zone III and Zone IV environments. The keyhole-wall-mount version is 50850.

Laboratory and Clinical Applications

The 50953 is deployed across laboratory and clinical environments requiring 4-size no-drill ferrous-surface glove staging, including BSC side-baffle glove box staging where drilling is not permitted, instrument cart steel-upright glove staging that must be repositionable, stainless steel lab furniture glove management, pharmaceutical GMP corridor stainless steel PPE stations, hospital and clinical procedure room ferrous wall glove staging, ED and ICU cart steel upright glove staging, dental operatory metal cabinetry glove management, veterinary clinic stainless-surface glove staging, cleanroom anteroom gowning steel-panel glove staging, pharmaceutical compounding anteroom no-drill glove staging, and any installation where the ergonomic side-load design of the keyhole 50850 is needed on a ferrous surface without drilling.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should the magnet 50953 be specified instead of the keyhole 50850 — what installation scenarios specifically require the magnet version?

Specify the magnet 50953 when: the installation surface is ferrous steel (BSC baffle, stainless steel wall panel, cart upright) where drilling is not permitted or would void equipment warranties; the glove staging position must be repositionable as room configurations, procedures, or tenancy change; rapid deployment without facility maintenance involvement is required; or the installation is temporary (e.g., during a renovation or pilot program). Specify the keyhole 50850 for permanent installations on gypsum board, wood-framed walls, or tile surfaces where drill-and-anchor installation is appropriate and the position is fixed long-term. The magnet version costs more per unit than the keyhole version; the premium is justified by the ferrous-surface, no-drill, repositionable use case.

Is the magnet holding force sufficient to keep the 50953 securely attached to a BSC side baffle loaded with 4 full glove boxes, and what surface conditions reduce holding force?

The rare-earth magnet backing provides sufficient holding force on standard 16-gauge or heavier cold-rolled steel or stainless-steel BSC baffle panels for a fully loaded unit through normal BSC operations. Surface conditions that reduce holding force include: panels below 16-gauge thickness (thinner ferrous sheets reduce the ferromagnetic coupling); non-ferrous coatings or paint layers over the steel (each layer reduces coupling in proportion to its thickness); and stainless steel grades with lower magnetic permeability (304/316 stainless is paramagnetic — some holding force; 430 ferritic stainless provides stronger coupling). Test with a fully loaded unit on your specific panel before committing to a production deployment on non-standard surfaces.
