Technical Narrative

The TrippNT 50539 Quadruple HDPE Bottle Holder 500mL is a four-position white ¼″ HDPE wall-mounted bottle holder engineered for corrosion-resistant secure staging of 500 mL laboratory bottles — reagent bottles, wash bottles, media bottles, solvent bottles — at the point of use on laboratory walls, fume hood interior side baffles, and bench-adjacent wall panels where the standard ABS format (50157) is insufficient for the chemical environment. The HDPE construction provides superior chemical resistance to the full range of common laboratory solvents and reagents — including strong acids, strong bases, bleach, and most organic solvents — while the four open-top circle-slot positions each cradle the neck of a standard 500 mL bottle with a walled tray base that catches spills and prevents bottles from tipping or sliding during routine lab operations. Two pre-drilled keyhole slots accept standard wall hardware (included) for secure installation on gypsum board, wood-panel, or ceramic tile walls.

At 14⅝″ W x 3⅛″ H x 4⅛″ D and 1.11 lb, the Quadruple 500mL holder stages four 500 mL bottles at a single wall position. Companion HDPE 500mL holders are available in Single (50569), Double (50570), and Triple (50571) formats for smaller installations. The ABS family (50080, 50085, 50411, 50157) provides the same form factor at a lower cost point for non-solvent environments. Backed by TrippNT’s 100% Lifetime Guarantee.

Laboratory and Clinical Applications

The 50539 is deployed in chemical-exposure laboratory environments requiring HDPE-grade corrosion-resistant 500 mL bottle staging, including organic chemistry fume hood interior side-baffle solvent bottle staging (acetone, ethanol, methanol, IPA wash bottles), analytical chemistry bench solvent and standard solution bottle staging adjacent to HPLC instruments, pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing bench reagent bottle staging in areas with regular bleach and disinfectant use, microbiological BSC interior staging of media and reagent bottles in bleach-cleaned environments, environmental analytical chemistry fume hood staging for acid and base solution bottles, food and beverage QC bench staging of cleaning agent and reagent bottles, semiconductor lab staging of high-purity solvent wash bottles, pharmaceutical compounding bench staging of solvent bottles in corrosive-environment prep areas, industrial QC bench staging of reagent and standard solution bottles in chemical-exposure environments, and any laboratory wall position where four 500 mL bottles require HDPE-grade chemical-resistant secure staging.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should the HDPE 50539 be specified over the ABS Quadruple 500mL holder 50157 — what chemical environments specifically require HDPE?

Specify the HDPE 50539 when the holder will have regular contact with: strong oxidizing acids (nitric, sulfuric, chromic); concentrated bleach or hypochlorite solutions used for decontamination; aromatic solvents (toluene, xylene); chlorinated solvents (methylene chloride, chloroform); or other reagents that attack ABS plastics. ABS (the 50157 family) provides adequate chemical resistance for aqueous buffers, dilute acids and bases, alcohols (ethanol, IPA, methanol), and most non-oxidizing reagents at the concentrations typical of standard laboratory wash bottle use. If the bottles staged in the holder contain only water, buffers, dilute alcohols, or non-solvent reagents, the ABS 50157 family is fully adequate at a lower cost. Specify HDPE (50539) for solvent-heavy organic chemistry, pharmaceutical synthesis, and fume hood environments where ABS degradation from solvent vapor contact is a real operational risk.

Does the 50539 hold 500 mL bottles securely in an active fume hood at typical hood airflow rates, and does the circle-slot design prevent tip-over during rack movement?

The four circle slots cradle the bottle neck at the upper third of the bottle body, and the walled tray base catches the bottle base. This dual-contact design keeps 500 mL bottles upright and stable through standard fume hood airflow at face velocities of 80–120 FPM without tipping or vibrating loose. The keyhole wall mounting ensures the holder itself is fixed to the wall and does not shift during routine bottle placement and removal. For very-high-velocity hood airflow (above 150 FPM) or for bottles with unusually tall or narrow form factors, confirm stability by testing with a loaded holder at operating airflow before committing to a fleet installation.
