What are Cryo-Gaiters™ and why are they in this kit?
Cryo-Gaiters™ are TempShield cryogenic lower-leg protectors that wrap the leg from below the knee to the boot top. They close the protection gap between the bottom hem of the CRYO-APRON® and the top of the boot — an area that is directly in the splash zone when standing over a ground-level or low-positioned open LN2 vessel. Standard cryogenic PPE sets (gloves + apron + face shield) leave this area unprotected. The Grip Safety Kit includes a pair of Cryo-Gaiters™ specifically to provide complete head-to-boot cryogenic coverage for open liquid nitrogen work.

How do I choose between Midarm and Elbow kit lengths?
Choose Midarm when your LN2 work is primarily at bench height or waist height, where you reach down into the vessel from above and your elbow does not enter the cold zone during normal operation. Choose Elbow when your work involves deeper reach — filling large floor-level dewars, reaching into large open LN2 containers from a standing position, or any workflow where the elbow is above the LN2 surface during retrieval or dispensing. If you are unsure, Elbow provides more coverage without limiting the work you can perform with a Midarm kit.

The kit says "Grip" — what if I don't need the grip palm feature?
The CRYO-PROTECTION® Grip Safety Kit includes Waterproof CRYO-GRIP® Gloves with the textured grip palm. If your work does not involve manipulating small cold objects where grip traction is important — for example, primarily dispensing and pouring operations rather than individual vial retrieval — TempShield also offers the standard CRYO-PROTECTION® Safety Kit with Waterproof CRYO-GLOVES® (without grip palm) at a lower price point. Can individual kit components be replaced separately when they wear out?
Yes.
