Globe Scientific RFID Labels (CTRFID) are adhesive RFID disk labels that enable any compatible tube rack to be tracked by the CapTrack CT-1 and CT-2 specimen management systems. Stick a label on a rack, and the CapTrack reader can identify that rack, associate it with its sample manifest, and recall it from storage — replacing the manual searching that wastes technician time in high-volume specimen storage environments. Each bag contains 10 labels.

How CapTrack RFID Tracking Works

The CapTrack system uses radio-frequency identification to link physical racks to digital sample records. When a labeled rack is placed on or near the CapTrack reader, the system reads the embedded RFID chip and instantly displays the rack's contents, storage location, and processing history. No barcode scanning of individual tubes. No manual logbook entries. The technician places the rack, the system knows what's in it. For laboratories processing hundreds of racks daily, the time savings compound into recovered hours of technician labor per week.

Retrofit Existing Racks

Globe Scientific sells pre-labeled racks with RFID disks already embedded — but labs that already own hundreds of compatible racks don't need to replace them. These adhesive labels convert existing racks into RFID-trackable racks at a fraction of the cost of new rack purchases. The labels adhere to the flat surface of most tube racks and are positioned to be read by the CapTrack CT-1 or CT-2 unit during normal rack handling. No rack modification required — peel, stick, and the rack is trackable.
