NXT Power Integrity Max UPS Overview
The NXT Power Integrity Max UPS (NPTU6000-HO-N) delivers 6000 VA / 5400 W of isolated, online double-conversion power for demanding hardwired facility installs. An IGBT rectifier and inverter regenerate output continuously through an internal isolation transformer. A manual bypass keeps the load powered during service.
The 208 VAC input and 240/208/120 VAC output both connect hardwired, terminated by an electrician at install. This model has no plug. RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts cover local monitoring, and an internal SNMP adapter is available for network alerts.
UL1778 listing and a three-year NXT Power warranty cover components and internal batteries. Sixteen internal VRLA batteries form the 192 VDC bus behind a unit rated for 36 A of continuous input current.

Need a different capacity? The NPTU2200-HO-N and NPTU4200-HO-N cover 2200 W and 4200 W, while the NPTU10.0-HO-N scales up to 9000 W.
How to Choose the Right Hardwired Facility UPS
Sizing a hardwired Max UPS is a facility decision, not a plug-in one. Weigh these axes before you spec a unit:
- Capacity headroom — size above the combined facility load; the NPTU6000-HO-N supports up to 5400 W continuous.
- Isolation vs. standard backup — continuous double-conversion output stays isolated and regenerated at all times, with a manual bypass for service.
- Waveform — true sine wave output suits facility instrument and IT loads that reject stepped waveforms.
- Shutdown & communication — RS-232, USB, DB-9 dry contacts, and an optional SNMP adapter support monitored, networked shutdown.
- Site power — confirm 208 VAC hardwired facility distribution sized for 36 A; an electrician must terminate the connection.
Laboratory Applications
The largest consolidated equipment rooms in a typical lab or clinical facility fit the NPTU6000-HO-N's 5400 W rating. Multi-rack instrument suites, imaging clusters, and shared IT infrastructure all run on continuously isolated, regenerated power. Manual bypass matters most at this scale, where scheduled maintenance can't afford to drop the load.
Facilities with dedicated 208 VAC distribution engineered for heavy, continuous draw are the intended fit. Installation requires a licensed electrician to terminate both input and output; there is no wall outlet at this capacity tier.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the NPTU6000-HO-N plug into a wall outlet?
No. It's a hardwired unit; a licensed electrician terminates both the 208 VAC input and the 240/208/120 VAC output.
What load can it support?
Up to 6000 VA / 5400 W continuous, powered from sixteen internal 12 V VRLA batteries.
What does the manual bypass do?
It routes power around the UPS electronics during service, keeping the connected load powered without interruption.
Does it support remote monitoring?
RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts are standard, with an internal SNMP adapter available as an option.
How long is the warranty?
Three years, covering components and the internal batteries from the date of shipment.
