NXT Power Integrity Max UPS Overview
The NXT Power Integrity Max UPS (NPTU2200-HO-N) delivers 2200 VA / 2200 W of isolated, online double-conversion power for hardwired facility installations. An IGBT rectifier and inverter regenerate clean output continuously through an internal isolation transformer. A manual bypass allows service without dropping the connected load.
This is a hardwired unit: 208 VAC input and a 240/208/120 VAC output are both terminated by an electrician at install. No plug or wall outlet is involved. RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts cover local monitoring, with an internal SNMP adapter available for network alerts.
UL1778 listing and NXT Power's three-year warranty cover components and internal batteries. Sixteen internal VRLA batteries form the 192 VDC bus, sized for a short, clean ride-through rather than extended standby runtime.

Need more capacity? The NPTU4200-HO-N, NPTU6000-HO-N, and NPTU10.0-HO-N scale up to 4200 W, 5400 W, and 9000 W in the same hardwired Max chassis family.
How to Choose the Right Hardwired Facility UPS
Sizing a hardwired Max UPS is a facility decision, not a plug-in one. Weigh these axes before you spec a unit:
- Capacity headroom — size above the combined facility load; the NPTU2200-HO-N supports up to 2200 W continuous.
- Isolation vs. standard backup — continuous double-conversion output stays isolated and regenerated at all times, with a manual bypass for service.
- Waveform — true sine wave output suits facility instrument and IT loads that reject stepped waveforms.
- Shutdown & communication — RS-232, USB, DB-9 dry contacts, and an optional SNMP adapter support monitored, networked shutdown.
- Site power — confirm 208 VAC hardwired facility distribution; an electrician must terminate the connection, as there is no plug.
Laboratory Applications
Facility-scale instrument and IT loads that exceed a Max LT unit's capacity fit the NPTU2200-HO-N's 2200 W rating. Equipment rooms consolidating multiple instrument racks, imaging suites, and small data closets all run on continuously isolated, regenerated power. Manual bypass keeps that load powered during scheduled UPS service.
Facilities already wired for 208 VAC distribution are the natural fit, since this model has no plug and connects directly to a dedicated circuit. An electrical contractor should size and terminate the hardwired connection as part of installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the NPTU2200-HO-N plug into a wall outlet?
No. It's a hardwired unit; a licensed electrician terminates both the 208 VAC input and the 240/208/120 VAC output at install.
What does double conversion with manual bypass mean?
Output is continuously regenerated from an isolated DC bus, and the manual bypass lets a technician service the unit without dropping the load.
What load can it support?
Up to 2200 VA / 2200 W continuous, powered from sixteen internal 12 V VRLA batteries.
Does it support remote monitoring?
RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts are standard, with an internal SNMP adapter available as an option.
How long is the warranty?
Three years, covering components and the internal batteries from the date of shipment.
