NXT Power Integrity Max UPS Overview

The NXT Power Integrity Max UPS (NPTU10.0-HO-N) tops the Max line at 10000 VA / 9000 W of isolated, online double-conversion power. It's built for the heaviest hardwired facility installs. This IGBT rectifier-inverter architecture and internal isolation transformer regenerate output continuously, with a manual bypass for uninterrupted service.

Input connects hardwired at 208 VAC, rated for 57 A continuous. Output delivers a hardwired 240/208/120 VAC tap set; there is no plug on this model. RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts handle local monitoring, with an internal SNMP adapter available for network alerts.

UL1778 listing and a three-year NXT Power warranty cover components and internal batteries. Sixteen internal VRLA batteries form the 192 VDC bus behind this higher-capacity unit.

Available Sizes and Configurations

SKU Description Capacity
NPTU10.0-HO-N Integrity Max UPS, hardwired, 208 VAC in / 240-208-120 VAC out 10000 VA / 9000 W

Need a smaller footprint? The NPTU2200-HO-N, NPTU4200-HO-N, and NPTU6000-HO-N cover 2200 W, 4200 W, and 5400 W in the same hardwired Max chassis family.

How to Choose the Right Hardwired Facility UPS

Sizing a hardwired Max UPS is a facility decision, not a plug-in one. Weigh these axes before you spec a unit:

  • Capacity headroom — size above the combined facility load; the NPTU10.0-HO-N supports up to 9000 W continuous.
  • Isolation vs. standard backup — continuous double-conversion output stays isolated and regenerated at all times, with a manual bypass for service.
  • Waveform — true sine wave output suits facility-wide instrument and IT loads that reject stepped waveforms.
  • Shutdown & communication — RS-232, USB, DB-9 dry contacts, and an optional SNMP adapter support monitored, networked shutdown.
  • Site power — confirm dedicated 208 VAC hardwired distribution sized for 57 A; an electrician must terminate the connection.

Laboratory Applications

Facility-wide power protection for a full lab building or clinical wing fits the NPTU10.0-HO-N's 9000 W rating. Consolidated instrument suites, imaging departments, and central IT infrastructure sharing one hardwired feed all run on continuously isolated, regenerated power. Manual bypass is essential at this scale, keeping an entire facility segment live during scheduled maintenance.

Only facilities with dedicated, heavy-gauge 208 VAC distribution should spec this model. There is no wall outlet or portable configuration at this capacity, and a licensed electrician must terminate both hardwired connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the NPTU10.0-HO-N plug into a wall outlet?
No. It's a hardwired unit; a licensed electrician terminates both the 208 VAC input and the 240/208/120 VAC output.

What load can it support?
Up to 10000 VA / 9000 W continuous, powered from sixteen internal 12 V VRLA batteries.

What does the manual bypass do?
It routes power around the UPS electronics during service, keeping the connected load powered without interruption.

Does it support remote monitoring?
RS-232, USB, and DB-9 dry contacts are standard, with an internal SNMP adapter available as an option.

How long is the warranty?
Three years, covering components and the internal batteries from the date of shipment.
