Mechanix Wear Torch Regulator Welding Gloves Features
The Mechanix Wear Torch Regulator glove was developed for MIG welders in heavy construction where sharp materials are at work. Durahide® Boar performance leather resists drying and cracking under heat, while an ANSI A4 DuPont™ Kevlar® cut-resistant liner guards against punctures and lacerations. A flame-resistant cotton lining adds thermal protection under the hood.
Most welding gloves protect against heat but leave the hand exposed to sharp stock. This model resolves that gap by combining an A4 Kevlar® liner with welding-grade leather. Kevlar® stitching throughout maintains structural integrity under constant heat where cotton thread fails.
Targeted reinforcement extends service life. A patented HiRoller™ fingertip design repositions exposed seams for control, while 5mm knuckle reinforcement and internally reinforced fingertips protect high-wear zones. A Keystone thumb and Gunn Cut palm improve grip for heavy material handling.

Laboratory and Industrial Applications
Heavy construction, structural steel, and fabrication crews use the Torch Regulator for MIG welding around sharp plate, rebar, and cut stock. The ANSI A4 Kevlar® liner protects against lacerations that standard welding gloves ignore, while the FR cotton lining manages welding heat.
Shipyards, manufacturing cells, and maintenance teams rely on the boar leather and gauntlet cuff during sustained MIG passes near sharp materials. The combination of cut and heat protection makes the Regulator a single-glove solution for welders handling abrasive, edged stock.

Frequently Asked Questions
What cut rating do these welding gloves carry?
The Regulator is lined with ANSI A4 DuPont™ Kevlar® cut-resistant fabric, protecting against punctures and lacerations from sharp materials — a feature most heat-focused welding gloves lack.
Are these gloves rated for a maximum heat temperature?
The Regulator pairs Durahide® Boar leather with an FR cotton lining for thermal protection, but the manufacturer has not published a maximum heat rating. Match the glove to your weld process and exposure accordingly.
What welding process is the Regulator designed for?
It was developed for MIG welders in heavy construction handling sharp materials, combining welding heat protection with ANSI A4 cut resistance in a single gauntlet glove.
