Frequently Asked Questions

Which variants are supplied sterile?

SKUs 6104SP, 6105SP, 6101S, 6102S, and 6102S-R are supplied sterile. The remaining options ship non-sterile and suit reagent storage and general aliquoting.

What is the difference between attached and separate screw caps?

Attached caps tether to the tube to prevent loss during transport, while separate caps allow color-coded sorting and easier two-hand filling. Both seal on a polypropylene thread.

Can these tubes be centrifuged?

Conical-bottom PP tubes withstand routine benchtop centrifugation within polypropylene's rated limits. Confirm rotor compatibility and g-force against your protocol before high-speed runs.

Why choose the amber tubes?

Amber polypropylene reduces light transmission, protecting photosensitive analytes and reagents from degradation during transport and short-term storage. They are available in 5 mL and 10 mL.
