Globe Scientific 112010 is a 12 mL clear polystyrene centrifuge tube with a conical bottom, 16 × 100 mm. That is the same footprint as a 16 × 100 mm test tube, so it sits in 16 mm rack positions and shorter centrifuge buckets where a 15 mL tube is too long.

Frequently asked questions
12 mL or 15 mL tube?
This 12 mL tube is 16 × 100 mm; Globe’s 15 mL tubes are 17.5 × 120 mm. Choose the 12 mL tube when your racks or centrifuge carriers are sized for 16 × 100 mm tubes.
How is it graduated?
With marks at 0.5, 1, 2, 5 and 10 mL rather than a continuous scale. Use a pipette where you need a volume between the marks.
What speed is the polystyrene 12 mL tube rated to?
Globe rates the polystyrene 112010 to 1,500 × g. The polypropylene version, 112040, is rated to 3,000 × g.
