The Globe Scientific GBT-2002 is a precision balance with 2 kg capacity and 0.01 g readability, externally calibrated. It weighs up to 2 kg, for general sample, reagent and bulk-material weighing where milligram resolution is not needed. It is part of Globe’s GBT series, operated from a color touchscreen.

Frequently asked questions
How is the GBT-2002 calibrated?
The GBT-2002 uses external calibration: it prompts you for a pre-defined reference mass and calibrates against it. For hands-off calibration, Globe makes internal-calibration versions (model numbers ending in C). Globe also sells it as the GBT-2002-CT, which includes an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration certificate.
How big is the GBT-2002’s weighing pan, and how fast does it settle?
The pan is 195 x 195 mm and Globe rates stabilization at 2 sec. The balance itself measures 333 x 206 x 107 mm.
What do the GBT-2002’s repeatability and linearity figures mean?
Repeatability of 0.015 g is how closely repeated weighings of the same load agree. Linearity of ±0.03g is the largest deviation from the true mass across the weighing range. Both are Globe’s specifications for the GBT-2002.
How do I get weighing data off the GBT-2002?
Through its ports: 2 x RS232, USB-A, USB-B, Ethernet. It stores users, products, weighings and formulations, and prints reports with a signature line.
