The Globe Scientific GBP-602 is a portable precision balance with 600 g capacity and 0.01 g readability, externally calibrated. It weighs up to 600 g, for general sample, reagent and bulk-material weighing where milligram resolution is not needed. An internal battery lets it move from bench to bench, or into the field, without a power outlet.

Frequently asked questions

How is the GBP-602 calibrated?

The GBP-602 is calibrated externally with a reference weight of known mass. Globe also sells it as the GBP-602-CT, which includes an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration certificate.

How big is the GBP-602’s weighing pan, and how fast does it settle?

The pan is 128 x 128 mm and Globe rates stabilization at 2 sec. The balance itself measures 260 x 160 x 68 mm.

What do the GBP-602’s repeatability and linearity figures mean?

Repeatability of 0.01 g is how closely repeated weighings of the same load agree. Linearity of ±0.02 g is the largest deviation from the true mass across the weighing range. Both are Globe’s specifications for the GBP-602.

Can the GBP-602 run without mains power?

Yes. It has an internal rechargeable battery rated by Globe for up to 15 hours, with automatic shut-off and a low-battery indicator.
