Polypropylene Beakers with Printed Graduations, 25 mL to 5000 mL

The Globe Scientific PP Beaker series delivers break-resistant, autoclavable vessels for everyday bench work — reagent preparation, buffer mixing, and volumetric estimation across a wide capacity range. Molded polypropylene shrugs off the drops and knocks that shatter glass, while clear printed graduations and a defined pour spout keep transfers controlled and repeatable.

Each capacity is available as a multi-unit pack (base SKU) or as a single beaker (the "-1" SKU), so labs can stock by the case or buy individual replacements. Prices below are per-pack as supplied by the manufacturer.

Applications

  • Preparing and mixing aqueous buffers, salines, and stock solutions
  • Dissolving reagents on magnetic stir plates and hot plates
  • Approximate volume dispensing where graduation accuracy is non-critical
  • Media preparation and reagent staging in microbiology workflows
  • Holding and decanting wash solutions in histology and staining setups
  • Large-volume mixing (3 L and 5 L sizes) for fermentation and prep labs

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these polypropylene beakers autoclavable?

Yes. The PP construction tolerates standard steam sterilization at 121 °C. Allow beakers to cool fully before handling and avoid open-flame heating.

What is the difference between the base SKU and the "-1" SKU?

The base SKU (for example, 601823) is a multi-unit pack, while the matching "-1" SKU (601823-1) is a single beaker sold individually for replacements.

Are the graduations printed or molded?

Both. Graduations are molded into the wall and printed for contrast, making them durable through repeated washing and autoclaving. They support approximate, not analytical, volume reading.

Can these beakers be used with organic solvents?

They handle aqueous buffers, dilute acids and bases, and short alcohol contact well. Avoid aromatic and chlorinated solvents, which can swell or stress-crack polypropylene.
