The Globe Scientific Diamond Midi is a 5 mL polypropylene centrifuge tube with an attached snap cap, for sample volumes between 2 and 5 mL. It has the same diameter and conical shape as a 15 mL tube, so it uses the same racks and adapters. Because it is shorter, a pipette tip reaches the sample without the pipettor barrel going into the tube.
