The PlateFuge 2D brings a digital control panel to Benchmark's PlateFuge format, with programmable speed and run time for two PCR plates. Speed adjusts from 500 to 2,800 rpm, reaching 728 × g, and the timer covers 0–59 seconds, 1–99 minutes or continuous operation. The swing-out rotor prevents spillage, so plates can run without a seal. It takes skirted, semi-skirted and non-skirted PCR plates plus most microtiter plates, sits on a 9 × 12 in footprint and weighs 7 lb.
