Alpha Resources Pressed Silver Capsules (5mm X 3.5mm) Light Weight is a silver capsule (5 × 3.5 mm) for weighing and encapsulating solid and liquid samples ahead of combustion elemental analysis and isotope-ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS). Silver capsules are used for oxygen determination by pyrolysis and for samples requiring acidification (e.g., carbonate removal), withstanding the high pyrolysis temperatures with a low blank. The pressed form loads quickly and folds cleanly around solid samples. The light-weight construction minimizes blank and tare.
