Air Science Purair Basic Ductless Fume Hood with ASTS-001 Carbon Filter

The Air Science Purair Basic is a ductless fume hood that protects the operator and the environment from hazardous vapors generated on the work surface. Room air is drawn in through the open front, passes up through the carbon filter in the top of the cabinet and is returned to the room, so the hood needs no ductwork. Purair Basic hoods are used in research labs, teaching labs and forensic labs.

Each size ships with the filter it needs to run: the ASTS-001 GP Plus general-purpose carbon filter, one with the 24 in. (P5-24XT) and 36 in. (P5-36XT) hoods and two with the 48 in. (P5-48XT). ASTS-001 is the filter for solvent, organic, alcohol and hydrocarbon vapors and odors.
