The Smart-Q 800 F1008 reads up to 8 samples at once, using 0.2 mL assay tubes either singly or as 8-tube strips. It quantifies DNA, RNA and protein through dye-based fluorescence assays from Accuris or other kit suppliers. Excitation comes from blue and red LEDs at 460 ± 20 nm and 625 ± 20 nm, with emission collected at 525–570 nm and 670–725 nm across a dynamic range of 4 orders of magnitude. Setup runs on a 7.0-inch touch screen with built-in reagent calculators.
