Which seat fits the bathroom

  • Shower stools: backless and armless for small stalls. The drive swivel-seat stool turns without the user shifting on the seat.
  • Shower chairs and bath seats: add a backrest, fixed or padded arms, or both. Frames are aluminum or PVC.
  • Bath transfer benches: straddle the tub wall so the user sits outside the tub and slides across. Carex, drive, McKesson and Splash Defense™ models have seat heights from about 17½ to 25 in.
  • Bariatric: McKesson bariatric bath and transfer benches, and wide ipu PVC chairs.
  • Combination chairs: commode/shower chairs on casters roll from the bedside into a roll-in shower. The same chairs are under Commodes.
