Technical Narrative

The TrippNT 53592 Core CL Cart with Dolphin Gray Drawers is the suture and soft-goods specialty configuration of the TrippNT Core cart platform — a purpose-designed mobile cart for OR, procedure room, and supply corridor environments that stage suture boxes, dressing sets, and other tall-format clinical soft goods at a 45-degree forward angle on six large adjustable side shelves, allowing clinical staff to read suture labels and retrieve the correct suture box without bending, searching, or unstacking. The six adjustable side shelves present inventory at an ergonomic forward angle; all six shelves are repositionable on the HDPE body posts to accommodate different suture box heights and mixed inventory programs. A three-drawer locking section provides enclosed storage for higher-value items, medication, or documentation, secured by the Hafele 22MM SYMO key lock. The locking sliding clear door on the bulk storage bay allows visual monitoring of large-format supplies without requiring the bay to be opened during rounds.

At 27½″ W x 35⅝″ H x 19½″ D and 65 lb, the Core CL ships fully assembled. Dolphin Gray drawer fronts on a white HDPE body. Backed by TrippNT’s 100% Lifetime Guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What suture box formats and sizes fit on the Core CL’s angled side shelves, and how many boxes can each shelf hold?

The six large adjustable side shelves are designed for standard suture box formats from major manufacturers (Ethicon, Covidien, B. Braun). A standard suture box is approximately 1½″–2½″ W x 1″–2″ H x 5″–9″ D. Each shelf spans the full 27½″ cart width and can hold multiple boxes across its width depending on box size — typically 8–14 standard suture boxes per shelf at standard box widths. The 45-degree forward angle allows label-forward presentation for rapid product identification without picking up or moving boxes. Shelf positions are adjustable to match the vertical height of different suture box depths, accommodating both short and long-format boxes in the same cart with each shelf calibrated to the correct depth category.

How does the Core CL sliding door lock differ from the Hafele cam lock used on Core DX carts — and why does the CL use a different lock?

The Core CL uses a Hafele 22MM SYMO cylinder lock — a higher-security cam lock format with a smaller 22mm cylinder profile that integrates cleanly into the CL’s sliding door frame geometry. The Core DX uses a standard Hafele cam zinc-plated steel lock. Both are Hafele-brand key cam locks providing equivalent access-control function; the SYMO format on the CL is an installation-specific choice driven by the sliding door track design rather than a security tier difference. Both accept standard Hafele key blanks; facilities managing a mixed Core DX and Core CL fleet should verify key compatibility with their facilities team when specifying keyed-alike programs across both cart families.
