Technical Narrative

The TrippNT 50593 Belize Lab Island Cart in White is the largest member of the TrippNT Island Cart family — a 93⅛″ triple-wide HDPE mobile island engineered for research institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, and large clinical laboratories where a continuous 93-inch mobile work surface equivalent to a standard 8-foot fume hood span is needed, with enclosed rolling-door storage accessible from any of three sides. Two independent locking tambour (roll-top) doors provide access-controlled enclosed storage on each of the two end bays, each with one pull-out shelf and one bottom shelf on full-extension slides. The 4 swivel and 2 locking 4-inch twin-wheel casters enable a single operator to reposition this 275 lb island across level floors while the lock casters secure it in place for work.

The ½″ white HDPE body construction provides chemical resistance to bleach, Sporicidin, peracetic acid, and standard laboratory disinfectants; corrosion resistance for wet lab environments; and non-metal construction for MRI-conditional use (verify with site-specific ASTM F2052 assessment, as Hafele cam locks contain ferrous components). Ships LTL, max 1 per pallet. Backed by TrippNT’s 100% Lifetime Guarantee. For narrower zones, specify the Cayman (50592, 47¾″) or Maui (50591, 23½″).

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 93-inch Belize compare to the 47.75-inch Cayman and when does the triple-wide island justify the higher investment?

The Belize (93⅛″ W) provides a continuous work surface equivalent to a full 8-foot fume hood span, allowing three to four operators to work simultaneously at distinct stations on a single island. The Cayman (47¾″) fits two operators side-by-side on a standard 4-foot bench-module footprint. Choose the Belize when: multi-operator concurrent access is required without cross-reaching; a department needs a fixed-location island that mobilizes the equivalent of a full fixed-bench section for space reconfiguration; or when the two independent tambour bays of the Cayman need to scale to a longer center table without adding a second island unit. The Belize also allows end-to-end aisle circulation on both long sides simultaneously.

What is the minimum doorway and aisle width required to move the 93-inch Belize into a room and reposition it within a lab?

The Belize is 93⅛″ W x 22⅞″ D. Entry through a standard 36″ single doorway is not possible; the cart must enter the room through a double-door opening (minimum 96″ clear span) or be delivered and assembled in the target room. Standard 8″ or wider corridor single-corridor labs can fit the Belize turning from a corridor into a side room only through a wide-opening access path. Facility access pathway planning is essential before ordering. Contact TrippNT facilities support or your facilities manager to confirm access route clear width before placing an order for the Belize.
