Globe Scientific 72-Place Wall-Mountable Drying Rack (600213) drains and dries laboratory glassware, plasticware, and other labware on 72 removable pegs mounted to a rigid high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) backplate. The rack mounts to any laboratory wall using the included hardware and drilling template, keeping bench space clear while labware dries vertically. A seamless drip channel along the bottom collects all runoff and routes it through a supplied drain tube — no puddles on the floor, no biohazardous drip risk on countertops below.

Removable Peg System

The 72 standard pegs accommodate labware with neck bores of 15mm and larger — Erlenmeyer flasks, graduated cylinders, beakers, funnels, and bottles. An additional 11 small-diameter pegs (included) fit items with neck bores as small as 6mm, covering test tubes, small vials, and narrow-neck volumetric flasks. All pegs push in and pull out by hand for cleaning or reconfiguration. The peg sockets have closed ends — liquid draining from labware cannot seep behind the backplate, eliminating the hidden moisture reservoirs that cause mold growth and biohazard concerns on racks with open-backed peg holes.

Drip Channel and Biohazard Containment

The integrated drip channel runs the full width of the rack and captures all liquid draining from drying labware. A drain tube (included) routes collected waste to a sink, collection vessel, or floor drain. In clinical and microbiology laboratories where drying labware may carry residual biological material, this containment system prevents biohazardous drips from reaching floors and countertops — a compliance concern with open-peg racks that lack collection channels.

Wall Mounting and Expansion

The rack ships with a complete mounting kit including hardware and a paper drilling template.
