The Globe Scientific bScope LED Fluorescence Microscope with CMEX-18 Pro Camera (EBS-3153-PLFI-DC18) packages four-channel LED fluorescence excitation, Plan Fluarex PLFI infinity-corrected objectives, and an 18MP digital USB-3 camera into the compact, portable bScope platform. Why LED Fluorescence Changes the Equation

Traditional fluorescence microscopes use mercury or metal-halide lamps that require warm-up time, produce heat, degrade over hundreds of hours, and pose disposal hazards. The bScope EBS-3153-PLFI replaces all of that with four monochromatic LEDs for Blue, Green, Violet, and UV excitation. LEDs turn on instantly at full intensity, produce minimal heat at the specimen, last tens of thousands of hours, and maintain stable output over their lifetime. Four filter sets are included — covering the most common fluorophores (DAPI, FITC, TRITC, and Texas Red wavelength ranges) — so this microscope arrives ready for fluorescence work out of the box.

Bundled CMEX-18 Pro Camera

The included CMEX-18 Pro (EDC-18000-PRO) captures 18-megapixel images through a high-speed USB-3 interface with 12-bit grayscale depth and 24-bit color. ImageFocus Alpha software provides live imaging, measurement tools, and annotation capabilities on Windows 10/11. The 18MP resolution captures fine fluorescent structures and produces publication-quality micrographs.

Portability and Practical Design

The bScope platform is cordless-capable (rechargeable batteries sold separately), weighs under 27 lbs, and includes an integrated carrying grip, cable storage system, and anti-theft lock point. Antimicrobial APL coating protects shared surfaces in multi-user teaching environments. Anti-fungus treated optics resist degradation in humid lab conditions.
