Globe Scientific 72-Place Laboratory Drying Rack (600213) mounts to any laboratory wall and dries glassware, plasticware, and other labware on 72 removable pegs. The high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) backplate is molded as a single 4mm-thick piece with closed-end peg sockets — no seams where moisture collects, no open backs where liquid drips behind the rack and breeds mold. A full-width drip channel with drain tube captures all runoff and routes it to a sink or collection vessel.

Two Peg Sizes for Full Labware Range

The rack ships with 72 standard pegs for labware with neck bores of 15mm and larger (flasks, cylinders, beakers, funnels) and 11 small-diameter pegs for items with 6mm+ openings (test tubes, small vials, narrow-neck volumetric flasks). All pegs push in and pull out by hand — reconfigure the rack for your specific labware mix, or remove pegs entirely to accommodate odd-shaped items. Replacement small pegs are available separately as Globe Scientific 601213 (11/pack).

Closed-End Sockets Eliminate Hidden Moisture

Many drying racks use open-backed peg holes — liquid drains through the hole and collects behind the backplate where it cannot be seen or cleaned. Over time this creates mold, odor, and in clinical labs, a hidden biohazard. The 600213 uses closed-end sockets that stop all liquid at the peg surface. Everything drains down the face of the rack into the drip channel. The entire rack surface is visible and accessible for cleaning.

Wall Mount with Expansion Hooks

The included mounting kit provides hardware and a paper drilling template for any wall surface. Multiple racks connect side-by-side using included hooks, creating a continuous drying wall that scales with your wash room volume. The HIPS material will not rust, stain, or degrade from water, solvents, or cleaning agents.
