The Caplugs® Evergreen EZ-Seal™ is an acrylic adhesive sealing film sized for individual 8-well strips — the strip-format companion to the full plate EZ-Seal™ film (290-8200-MIC). Strip format sealing is the preferred approach for partial-plate ELISA programs loading individual antibody-coated strips into SBS frames, PCR programs using 8-strip tube strips in individual strip format, and compound library programs storing DMSO compound strips separately from the SBS frame. The individual strip seal enables selective sealing — seal only the strips in use while leaving unused strips unsealed in cold storage, matching the partial-plate-ELISA reagent-savings workflow that strip format makes possible.

Inert polyester (PET) film construction provides full DMSO compatibility for compound strip plate sealing, optical clarity for qPCR top-read fluorescence detection through the seal, and PCR thermocycling temperature compatibility up to 100°C — the same performance properties as the full-plate 290-8200-MIC EZ-Seal™ film, delivered in strip-format dimensions at $0.3052 per strip seal. The EZ-Seal™ strip film provides individual 8-well strip sealing for the following workflows:

Apply one film per 8-well strip by pressing firmly from center outward. For PCR, centrifuge the sealed strip briefly to consolidate sample at well bottoms. Remove by peeling from one end — acrylic adhesive releases cleanly without residue. Strip format seals at 200/Bag vs 100/Bag for full plate seals (290-8200-MIC) — lower cost-per-seal for strip-format programs.

Both are EZ-Seal™ inert polyester acrylic adhesive films with identical material performance. The difference is format: 290-8200-MIC covers a full standard 96-well or 384-well plate (100/Bag). covers an individual 8-well strip (200/Bag). Use strip film when sealing individual strips for partial-plate ELISA, PCR strips, or compound strip storage. Use plate film (290-8200-MIC) for sealing complete 96-well or 384-well plates. Is the EZ-Seal™ strip film compatible with qPCR optical detection?

Yes. The uses a clear optically transparent inert polyester film that is compatible with fluorescence detection through the seal during qPCR thermocycling in top-read mode.
